Master in Physical Geography and Spatial Planning by the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT / UL) (2010). BA in Archaeology and History by the Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon (2006), and research fellow of the LATTEX - Faculty of Science, University of Lisbon (2006/2007). Researcher at the Centre for Geographical Studies since 2009.
His interest in Soil Micromorphology led him to participate in several international courses: Mineralogical Characterization of Ceramic Materials in Mineral Technology Center – CETEM, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2005), under the supervision of the Geologist Engineer Reiner Neumann - responsible for the Technology Characterization Sector; "Seminars and Training in Archaeological Soil Micromorphology " - Institute of London Archaeology, University College London (2006), under the supervision of Dr. Richard Macphail; "Intensive Training Course on Soil Micromorphology" - "Micromorphology of soils" (Post- graduate and University Extension) - Faculty of Geology, University of Barcelona (2007), coordinated by Prof. Rosa Maria Poch, Prof. Àngels Canals and Prof. Georges Stoops.
Coordinated several archaeological excavations in Portugal and Spain and was responsible for the analysis and characterization of sediments in many of them.
Research fellow in the Project IMF 5000 - Environmental change: fluvio-marine interactions in the last 5000 years (PTDC/CTE-GIX/104035/2008 ).
